A JOURNEY OF 08 YEARS OF TENNIS

Hi everyone,

I’m excited to share a part of my life with you—my 8-year journey with tennis.

It’s been a long, colorful, and emotional journey, filled with moments of joy and happiness as well as times of frustration and giving up. Everything I’ve shared and will continue to share represents milestones I want to remember and build upon for the future.

I’ve always had a passion for sports, especially basketball. I can name nearly 100 famous NBA players, and I started playing basketball at the age of 6. I even joined a talent development team and have a collection of different basketball shoes.

Additionally, I began learning swimming at age 5, mastering strokes like the breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle. I also enjoyed playing football, particularly as a defender, where I performed quite well during my elementary and middle school years at Vstar.

However, at age 5, my parents directed me towards tennis, investing in it as my primary sport. Tennis is part of the core curriculum in high schools in the U.S., which is why I dedicated myself to training, despite encountering numerous obstacles and challenges along the way.

Eight years may not be too long or too short, but this period has taught me a lot. From initially disliking tennis, viewing it as merely a sport my parents enjoyed, to embracing it fully, I’ve grown from a boy resistant to individual sports into someone who is open and willing to change along with tennis.

One of the most memorable moments of these 8 years was the emotional breakthrough I had about stopping tennis. During individual training sessions, where it was just me and Coach Tâm Hảo, I often felt uncomfortable since other sports involved playing with teammates and friends. This discomfort was a major reason for my dislike of tennis, and I frequently asked my mom to let me quit. It took some time for me to return to tennis, during which I joined sports clubs, made new friends, and competed with other players. This was a turning point, marking my renewed focus and growing affection for tennis.

My parents have witnessed my daily growth and development, and in tennis, Coach Tâm Hảo has seen my changes firsthand, helping me stabilize my mindset and understand my experiences to achieve the results I have today!

Over these 8 years, a child like me has begun to document and store special moments about my life in academics and sports on my Weblog. I’ve shared a bit about my love for the sport of tennis!

Thank you all for taking the time to read my story. I hope it has provided you with some encouragement and inspiration. Let’s continue this journey together and keep exploring!

See you in the next chapters!
