How to Balance Between Studying and Developing a Talent?

For teenagers like me, studying is extremely important. Having a passion for a sport can sometimes be seen as a distraction from focusing on academics. Balancing between studying and developing a talent is a challenging task for me. I’ve often asked my mom to reduce the time spent on extra studies because I have very little time for other activities. However, I couldn’t reach a compromise with her since I tend to be quite disruptive in class and have had several meetings with my homeroom teacher due to my behavior.

My Perspective on Balancing Between Studying and Playing Sports, Specifically Tennis…

I firmly believe that both cultural and physical development are important, as my mom has always emphasized. However, achieving a balance between studying and developing a talent is not easy. Excelling in sports is an important goal for me, but it should not negatively impact my academic performance. This is an area I continuously focus on and try to manage.

Sometimes, balancing schoolwork, tennis practice, and additional studies can be overwhelming, but tennis practice is a time for me to relieve stress and chat with Coach Tâm Hảo. Afterward, I feel energized to continue with extra studies and finish my day.

Balancing Between Studying and Being “Good” at Tennis…

I try not to be too strict about adjusting my schedule, as I’m not very good at organizing and maintaining strict discipline. I have a weekly schedule and tennis practice times set by my mom and Coach Tâm Hảo to help me feel comfortable and not pressured. Over time, this routine has become familiar to me.

For example, my school hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, tennis practice is from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, and extra study time is from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Goals and Future with Tennis…

Regarding the future, I don’t focus too much on long-term goals. I am simply striving to improve my skills, participate in tournaments, and share positive inspiration with others through my experiences.
