Ho Chi Minh City Youth Tennis Tournament 2024: Minh Đăng’s Journey to the Runner-Up Position

Hello everyone, I’m Minh Dang, 13 years old, and I recently achieved the runner-up position at the Hồ Chí Minh City Youth Tennis Tournament 2024. I’d like to share with you the story of my journey in this tournament.

Since I was young, I didn’t have much passion for tennis initially. My parents were the ones who first taught me how to hold a racket and guided me through the basic steps. Every afternoon after school, my father and I would go to the court for practice. This continued until Coach Tâm Hảo became my tennis coach.

The Hồ Chí Minh City Youth Tennis Tournament 2024 was an opportunity for me to challenge myself, meet, and learn from opponents of my age. Over the past few months, I trained diligently, focusing not only on technique but also on physical fitness and mental preparation.

The opponents I faced were very strong and experienced. However, I reminded myself to play my best and not let the pressure affect me. Each match was a challenge but also an opportunity to improve and grow. The matches were intense and stretched to the final set. Eventually, I won and advanced to the finals. The feeling at that moment was incredible, like a dream come true.

In the finals, I faced an extremely formidable opponent. Despite giving my best effort, I only secured the runner-up position. Although I didn’t win the championship, I am very proud of what I achieved. This is a significant milestone in my tennis journey.

After the tournament, I received many congratulations and encouragement from my family, friends, and coach. The praise and support are great motivators for me to continue striving. I understand that the road ahead is long and full of challenges, but I will keep working hard.

The Hồ Chí Minh City Youth Tennis Tournament 2024 has left me with many beautiful memories and valuable lessons. I hope that with continued effort and passion, I will achieve even greater success in the future. Thank you for listening to my story!
